‘Sides’ Proving Sex Without Penetration Is Still Sex
‘Sides’ Proving Sex Without Penetration Is Still Sex
There is a false misconception that penetration is required in order to have sex ‘the right way’. This has lead to misinformation and misunderstandings. The truth is many people enjoy sex without penetration. A growing number of homosexual males fit this category, as their dislike of anal sex leaves them unable to associate with being labelled a ‘top’ or a ‘bottom’. The phrase ‘side’ was coined in an April 2013 Huffington Post article by Dr. Joe Kort to more accurately describe men with this preference. Below are links to this article as well as two additional pieces, one published by The Gay UK and the other The Beastly Ex Boyfriend, that also examine Dr. Kort’s intriguing new term and what it means for sex:

The Gay UK (September 18, 2018) What is a side? Guys who just aren’t into bottoming or topping?
The Beastly Ex Boyfriend (September 2018) Not a Top, Bottom, or Vers. Are you a Side?
