Parents experiencing ongoing divorce-related conflicts are caught in a bind. They cannot work together and they cannot not work together. Court personnel, believing they are acting in the best interests of the children, strongly encourage parents to work together despite the likelihood of increasing hostilities. Failed efforts may meet with punishment, including potential loss of parenting time or custody. Strategies for Containing Divorce Conflict offers participants insight into the underlying causes of divorce conflict, recognition of patterns of behavior, and strategies for containment. Most importantly, the program offers guidance in how to help your clients parent their children when co-parenting.
